Your role
This exciting opportunity is to join the Housing Policy and Strategy Division as a Principal Business Intelligence Developer. This role will demand a variety of complex data modelling, warehousing, and analytics activities to help grow the organization's data and analytics capabilities. It will centre around data analysis and reporting to support strategy and decision-making while leaning on collaboration with stakeholders at various levels to make sure solutions meet business needs.

What You'll Do
As part of the System Insights Team, you will take a front and centre role in supporting and improving the data and analytics capability of the organization. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality BI solutions. You will tackle complex data analysis and data visualisation tasks to support strategies and policy initiatives for the management of social housing.

You will be challenged to build and strengthen business intelligence in a diverse and complex environment, where political and social sensitivity is key. You'll need to ensure effective knowledge transfer when communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage negotiations with stakeholders at a senior level.

What We're Looking For
This role operates with significant autonomy in consultation with the Manager and within the context of the role and project priorities, so will require someone with great self-management and accountability for the content, accuracy, validity and integrity of their work.

The Ideal Will Also Have

  • Experience using Qlik Sense, Tableau, GCP (BiqQuery and Data Fusion)
  • Demonstrated experience in management and timely delivery of complex and specialized data modelling, warehousing and analytic tasks
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with at a senior level and develop productive relationships with team members
