About the role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team in Cranbourne.  As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy medical and wellness practice. This casual position is based in our well-equipped clinic located in Cranbourne, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling patient inquiries
  • Coordinating the flow of patients and managing the reception area to ensure efficient operations
  • Providing administrative support to the clinical team, including preparing and organising patient files
  • Handling payment transactions and medical billings
  • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and data security
  • Assisting with other general office duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar customer service role in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, patient scheduling software, and other relevant administrative systems
  • A caring and compassionate attitude, with a genuine interest in supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our patients
