Support Workers Wanted – Complex Care | Exceptional Assistance

Exceptional Assistance is a leading care provider supporting NDIS participants with complex needs. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our dedicated team.

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Support Workers with a background in complex care. Preferred candidates will have an EEN or nursing background and a solid understanding of working with clients who require high-level support.

This role involves providing direct care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or in accordance with a care plan developed by an RN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal hygiene and grooming
  • Stoma care
  • Diabetic management (in collaboration with RN)
  • Medication management
  • Manual handling and mobility assistance
  • 24/7 ventilator support
  • Accurate documentation and reporting
  • Following established care plans and procedures

Shift Availability

  • Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Evening: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Sleepover shifts
  • Occasional short shifts as needed

Preferred Candidate

  • Female support worker (client preference)
  • Experience in complex care environments
  • Nursing or EEN background highly desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively under RN supervision
  • Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented

Required Documentation

  • Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Nursing, or equivalent training
  • Medication administration certification
  • Current Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Proof of COVID-19 and relevant vaccinations
  • Manual Handling training certification
