What You Will Be Doing

The Planned Surgery Administration Officer works with the Department of Surgery - with a team that consists of the Planned Surgery Access Manager, Planned Surgery Associate Unit Manager (ANUM), Planned Surgery Clinical Coordinator, Patient Support ANUM and Clinical Coordinators, Nurses and Administration officers. The role supports the day to day functioning of the Planned Surgery Preparation List (PSPL) as well as Patient Support Unit (PSU), it will involve being a part of the Patient Surgical journey, entering patient data, speaking to consumers and booking their planned surgery.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:


• Demonstrated experience at administrative level

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications desirable

• Sound written communication skills

• Medical Terminology

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills including excellent telephone manner

• Ability to work unsupervised in a confidential environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to prioritise competing demands and problem-solve
