Primary objective

This role primarily involves providing administrative support to the team, with a strong focus on recruitment and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities include being the first point of contact for candidates, reviewing applications, maintaining data in systems and

databased, and conducting audits and compliance checks.

Context statement

Department of Corporate and Digital Development's (DCDD) Workforce Development team delivers strategic workforce initiatives to

meet client agency requirements and achieve improved workforce outcomes. This role is in the Early Careers team which is responsible

for the recruitment and management of six centralised Early Careers programs delivered across the Northern Territory Government.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Undertaken daily administrative, data and compliance activities to support the implementation of Early Careers programs.

2. Use the customer support software (JIRA), and other systems to efficiently respond to customer requests in a highly professional and

client-focused manner.

3. Assist with coordinating recruitment processes including acknowledging and scheduling of applications, preparation of contracts of

employment and commencement papers.

  1. Draft and amend correspondence and documents including, standard operation procedures, briefs, reports and memorandums and

apply quality assurance checks.

  1. Develop and implement efficient and effective reporting and monitoring systems to support the management of human, financial,

technological and records resources of the team.

  1. Support in coordinating communication and marketing activities that promote Early Careers initiatives.

  2. Undertake research and analysis to support project work.

  3. Develop, maintain and foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including agencies and Corporate

Services functional streams.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Excellent communication and customer service skills reinforced by a strong client focus and service orientated attitude.

  1. Demonstrated initiative and flexibility in performing a wide range of administrative tasks.

  2. High-level computer literacy and information management skills, including demonstrated proficiency operating the various computer

and software packages used to perform administrative tasks, and manage recruitment and employee management data and processes.

4. Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines and manage

competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.

5. Experience maintaining databases, preparing reports and developing guidelines, training materials and procedures.

  1. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and

innovative.

Desirable

1. Experience using Northern Territory Government IT systems such as JIRA, TRM, PIPS, GAS, EIMS, eRecruit).
