Job Description
About the Role
The position of Examinations Coordinator is in Assessment Services, Education, Learning and Assessment directorate. The Education, Learning and Assessment directorate is responsible for development of physician training curricula, selection into training, development of learning resources and evaluation systems for RACP training programs.

The primary purpose of the Examinations Coordinator is, in conjunction with the Executive Officer – Divisional Clinical Examinations, to coordinate the planning, logistics and results release processes for Divisional Clinical Examination including providing administrative support for examination and committee processes and coordinating the involvement of other team members.

Please note: This role is fixed-term until June 2026.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage timelines, processes, communications, and documentation to support the coordination and delivery of the examinations to ensure a high standard of service delivery
  • Provide secretariat support to the Divisional examination committees and examiner panels, including preparation of agendas and briefs, organising and attending meetings, producing minutes, drafting reports and correspondence, and supporting the implementation of committee decisions, policies and procedures.
  • Arrange calibration/training sessions and provide support to committees, panels, examiners, Local Examination Organisers, hospital administrative staff and other external stakeholders involved in the conducting of Divisional assessments.
  • Maintain records of candidate details, applications, and results to ensure accuracy and reliability of information.
  • Manage candidate withdrawals, special considerations and other requests as required.

  • Relevant qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or experience in administration
  • Previous experience in an administrative support role in a very busy, complex, customer-focused work environment

  • Effective planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high workloads without compromising quality and standards
