We're looking for an Assessments Manager / Skills & Recognition Manager to lead the delivery of our skills assessment and professional recognitions programs. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on Australia's digital workforce, supporting thousands of professionals as they progress their careers and gain recognition for their expertise.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

What you'll do

  • Lead exceptional service delivery across skills assessment and recognition programs, including certifications, digital badges, and migration, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
  • Oversee operational planning and delivery, including budgets, service performance, and continuous improvement across assessment operations.
  • Drive innovation and process excellence, optimising people, technology, and systems to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable services.
  • Collaborate across teams (Product, Growth, and Quality) to align delivery with ACS strategic goals, industry needs, and emerging technologies.
  • Champion professional standards and industry pathways, contributing to ACS's position as the trusted authority for tech professionals in Australia.
  • Lead and develop a skilled assessment team, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage risk and compliance, ensuring delivery meets governance, regulatory, and quality standards.

What you'll bring

  • Strong operational or program management experience, ideally in education, certification, professional membership, or workforce capability programs.
  • Experience leading customer-focused service delivery or assessment operations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance quality, efficiency, and innovation in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Deep understanding of assessment methodologies and quality moderation practices
  • Familiarity with skills frameworks (e.g., SFIA), and/or digital credentialing is highly regarded.
