The Role

Due to significant growth, MCA Engineering is looking for a Leading Hand Boilermaker with 3-5 years' experience in a similar role to join our team in the Parkes workshop, NSW. This is a fantastic relocation opportunity for someone who's ready to take the next step in their career—and enjoy a new lifestyle in a regional town with big opportunities. Relocation assistance may be offered, and DIDO options are available for the right candidate depending on location and availability.

This role operates on a 5:2 roster and working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm, and Friday 6am-2pm (depending on the project).

You'll lead and mentor a team of skilled tradespeople and apprentices in our workshop. You must bring hands-on leadership experience, a focus on safety, and a passion for the trade.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and leading a team of trades and apprentices in a workshop environment
  • Daily reporting and documentation
  • Overseeing and reviewing quality of work
  • WHS - Proven ability to always adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe, work environment
  • A strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail
  • A commitment to quality and pride in your work
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Some site work may be required, depending on project needs

About you:

  • Cert III Trade Fabrication at a minimum
  • White Card
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience as a Supervisor / Leading Hand within a mining company would be viewed favourably
  • Positive attitude
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing.
  • Forklift license and confined space ticket – Would be an advantage
