About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our production workshop in Prestons.

You will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing steel processing machinery to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and master the operation principles and functions of various steel processing machines and components
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshoot production issues promptly
  • Carry out daily maintenance and scheduled servicing as per maintenance checklists
  • Handle mechanical and electrical breakdowns to ensure stable equipment performance
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with process and layout improvements
  • Complete other workshop tasks assigned by the supervisor

About You

  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance or workshop repair
  • Reliable, honest, and hardworking attitude
  • Physically capable of lifting components up to 20 kg
  • Electrical maintenance experience or valid trade qualification is a strong advantage
