This Government Agency is seeking a Senior BI Developer to play a central role in advancing the Data Analytics Platform. Design and deliver advanced analytics solutions that transform structured and unstructured data into actionable insights, by leveraging Power BI, Azure data services, and data modelling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions within Azure and Power BI.
  • Translate complex business needs into dashboards and reports that drive operational improvements
  • Champion best practices in BI solution design, data governance, lifecycle management, and security.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure analytics solutions deliver measurable value
  • Build organisational capability by mentoring team members, conducting training, and enabling self-service analytics.

You will have

  • 5+ years' experience as a Power BI Developer, with strong skills in data modelling, visualisation and reporting.
  • Advanced SQL expertise, with hands-on ETL and Azure-based data modelling experience.
  • Experience with the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, PowerApps).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Desirable: knowledge of scripting languages (Python) and Azure DevOps
