About the role

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will translate business and reporting requirements into functional specifications to leverage technology solutions to meet the information management and reporting needs of customers across the organisation. The position has a strong focus on educating both custodians and end product users to ensure that reporting products are based on sound and reliable data and are suitable for their intended purpose. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively with other members of the BI & GIS (Business Intelligence and Geographic Information Systems) team and share their knowledge and experience to achieve team cohesion.

What you will need to Succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in a numeric field e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics, commerce or social science. If no tertiary qualification is held, equivalent work experience is essential.
• Strong experience working in a data or business analyst position.
• Proven experience in the professional interaction with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong experience in using Business Analysis Software such as Business Objects or similar system(s).
• Experience in the use of relational databases.
