We're currently seeking an experienced and analytical Finance Analyst to join our Melbourne based team. This high-impact role is perfect for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on strategic thinking, collaboration, and delivering insights that drive business performance.
About the Role
As Finance Analyst, you'll be responsible for consolidating and analysing the company's investment and project budgets (Capex and Opex), managing forecasting cycles, and supporting strategic decision-making through timely and accurate insights.
This role will see you acting as a key business partner to the Project Management and Corporate Finance teams, reviewing project business cases, managing the capitalisation process, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation of annual investment plans and reforecasts, providing insights on key business drivers.
Partner with project and finance teams to review business cases and challenge assumptions for commercial outcomes.
Deliver monthly performance analysis, variance reporting, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Manage the capitalisation process in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
Monitor financial performance and propose corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, audit requirements, and internal control frameworks.
Build strong relationships across finance, project, and executive teams to support TGE's strategic goals.
What You'll Bring
Skills & Experience:
7+ years of post-qualification experience in FP&A, audit, or commercial finance roles within large, complex organisations.
Strong technical finance and accounting knowledge (CA/CPA qualified).
Proven experience with Oracle, TM1, Power BI, and/or other reporting tools.
Advanced Excel skills and strong business systems capability.
Demonstrated ability to distil complex information and influence stakeholders with clear insights.
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritise under pressure.
