About the Role

The Finance & Deal Analytics team helps businesses make confident, data-driven decisions across strategic, operational, and transactional contexts. With a focus on long-term value creation, the team combines financial insight, commercial acumen, and analytics to uncover opportunities, assess risks, and guide clients through complex financial decisions.

As a
Senior Finance & Deal Analytics Consultant
, you will lead financial modelling and analysis to support strategic planning, investment evaluation, and deal-related activities. Working closely with stakeholders across finance, strategy, and corporate development, you'll provide insights that shape valuations, business performance, and commercial outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Analyst or Consultant looking to broaden their exposure across finance analytics, valuations, and transaction advisory in a collaborative, fast-paced Melbourne-based team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and review financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses to support strategic and transaction decisions.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel to monitor key performance metrics.
  • Prepare business cases, valuation summaries, and management reports with clear, actionable insights.
  • Support M&A, due diligence, and commercial analysis projects alongside finance and corporate development teams.

About You

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial analytics, corporate finance, or transaction services within consulting, professional services, or a corporate environment.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and Power BI; familiarity with Alteryx, SQL, or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, and business case development.
  • Exposure to M&A or deal advisory projects is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
