Growth & Infrastructure Lead

Full Time / Ongoing

Classification: NONEA4 (Starting at $149, Superannuation)

Are you passionate about shaping the future of urban development? Lead strategic infrastructure planning and delivery across our growth areas and major developments.

As one of the fastest-growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural townships, and horticultural lands.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Development Services and working closely with multiple teams across Council and State agencies, you will lead the negotiation and coordination of strategic infrastructure outcomes across Playford's growth areas and major developments. You will provide expert advice on infrastructure provision and open space requirements at all stages of development, manage complex legal and financial agreements, and oversee the delivery of deed-related infrastructure projects from inception through to implementation.

Your influence will be critical in aligning diverse stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of private and Council-led projects, and shaping planning outcomes that support cohesive and sustainable growth. Representing Council in State-led infrastructure projects, you will maintain strong relationships with State Agencies and initiate deed-related infrastructure projects, contributing technical and planning advice throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

You will bring tertiary qualifications in Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and extensive experience in greenfield development and stakeholder engagement, particularly with State Government Agencies and Developers. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a sound understanding of relevant legislation and infrastructure agreements, and proven project management expertise are essential. Experience within local government and a familiarity with land management agreements will be highly regarded. A current Class 1 driver's licence is required.

Submit your application by clicking the "Apply Now" button. Please include your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability. If you would like further information, please contact Matt Dineen - Senior Manager Development Services on for a confidential discussion.

Applications close at 12pm on Monday 29 September 2025.
