Full Time / Ongoing
Classification: GO7 ($118,640 + Superannuation)
Use your engineering expertise and strategic thinking to shape the future of Playford's civil infrastructure assets.
As one of the fastest-growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural and hills townships, and horticultural lands.
About the Role
We're seeking an engineering professional with a passion for roads, bridges and stormwater systems. These are fundamental assets that require the attention and innovative thinking of an Asset Manager who will lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of asset plans and programs to ensure our community has the best infrastructure solutions to meet its growing needs. Reporting to the Manager - Asset Management, you will manage the planning of capital projects and continuous improvement efforts based on a high level of data analysis that is conducted with intelligence, integrity and ingenuity. You will advise teams and collaborate with colleagues to propose and drive strategic asset initiatives.
About You
You bring a strategic mindset, sound financial and data analysis capabilities, and a strong grasp of infrastructure planning and life-cycle modelling. Ideally qualified in civil engineering or related discipline, you're an asset management professional with experience in delivering asset management plans and working within asset management frameworks. Building effective relationships comes naturally to you, and you communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders. Well versed in managing asset databases and using data insights to guide strategic planning; your experience with systems and procurement processes will contribute to effective decision-making and long-term value.
If you're passionate about ensuring critical public infrastructure delivers long-term benefits to the community and want to play a central role in a team that values integrity and collaboration, we'd love to hear from you.
Submit your application by clicking the "Apply Now" button. Please include your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role. For further information, contact Matthew Pilcher, Manager - Asset Management on for a confidential discussion.
Applications close at 12:00pm on Thursday 11 September 2025.
The City of Playford values diversity and work-life balance. If you require any reasonable adjustments to support you in submitting your application, including alternative formats or methods, please contact the manager listed above.
