Laundry Assistant

As a Laundry Assistant you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Services Heathcote.

St Vincent's Care Services Heathcote (locally known as John Paul Village) is a 213 bed facility located 35km from Sydney's CBD. It is situated next to the Royal National Park, one of Sydney's real treasures

This is a permanent part-time opportunity with morning shifts available from Thursday to Saturday.

Things that work for us:

• Previous laundry and housekeeping work experience in a health care environment desirable
• Ability to perform cleaning duties promptly and efficiently, ensuring the laundry process for residents is prompt and in accordance with laundry guidelines including monitoring linen stock to meet needs
• The ability to perform cleaning duties in an efficient and timely manner
• Experience in identifying unserviceable or defect cleaning equipment
• An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months)
• NDIS clearance will be a requirement for this role.
