Rolling Stock Locomotive Supervisor
The Rolling Stock Locomotive Supervisor, is responsible for providing technical support to the rolling stock team, supporting operational and maintenance activities, and providing support to the rollingstock superintendent to enhance the future viability of Mackay Sugar. This position reports directly to the Rollingstock Superintendent.

- Minimum of 5 years technical experience in the rolling stock or heavy vehicle industries with a focus on maintenance and fleet upgrades.
- Desirable to have Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor Degree or higher) or alternatively a Diesel Fitting Trade qualification supported by extensive experience in technical support.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Applications and Maintenance Management systems including Project Management Applications.
- Able to develop concise and technically sound documents and have the ability to communicate these effectively to all levels of the business.
- Proven leadership skills, strong personal drive to meet deadlines and targets
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills to interact with people at all levels.
- Ability to manage various projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, problem solving and troubleshooting support to the rolling stock business which covers locomotives, track plant, cane bins, and light and heavy vehicles Are passionate about learning, improving and making a difference
- Assist in the audit and review of maintenance processes and procedures.
- Develop strategies for extending the lifespan of the existing fleet
- Assist in the upgrade of existing maintenance and fleet condition tracking systems.
- Assist in the upgrade of existing maintenance and fleet condition tracking systems.
- Assist in the development of a program for upgrade and overhaul of the locomotive and vehicle fleet, with a focus on best value for the business including exploring new technologies
- Review, track and ensure project SAP Master Data, Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and drawings are updated
