We have an opportunity for a Transport Scheduler to join our team at Plane Creek Mill, Sarina. The Transport Scheduler is responsible for the overall transport operations of the Mill's comprehensive Cane Transport System. If you have an eye for detail, problem solving, and experience in transport and scheduling we would like to hear from you

Your Role in Action

  • Keep the Mill supplied with cane: Communicate and Coordinator effectively between cane supply, milling and harvest operations to maintain adequate supply of cane for milling.
  • Adapt and Manage Transport schedule operations: ensure bin allotments and locomotive running schedules are adjusted and meet business needs.
  • Excellent Customer Service: Build and maintain excellent relationships with the cane growers ensuring proper communication on schedules and bin drop offs and pick ups.
  • Safety Champion: Ensure permits to work, Take 5's, risk assessments, job safety analysis are conducted for all work undertaken.
  • Keep Amazing records: record and manage safety with the authority and responsibility of supervisor, team leaders and work coordinators
  • Time Keeping: Accurately complete timesheets for the Traffic Officers and CS&T personnel
  • Assisting Logistics: Assist the logistic officers to manage traffic officers to perform their duties as required.

Your Winning Combination
To succeed in this role, you will preferably have experience with transport scheduling within a rail network. Highly developed communication skills, verbal and written with a high attention to detail; excellent customer service skills and the ability to interpret technical data and prepare written reports. Experience with Rostering and advantage. We will provide on the job training.
