What we are looking for
  • Solid cooking experience preparing tasty and consistent meals in a fast-paced café or food outlet
  • Top-notch organisational skills — you can juggle tasks with ease.
  • A positive, can-do attitude whether it's flat-out busy or cool and calm.
  • Strong communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • Must be a team player and available to work weekends
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain both.
  • Casual position - 2 to 5 days
About the role

As our Cook, you'll:

  • Prepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals — fast and fresh
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen.
  • Deliver exceptional food and customer service while adhering to food safety and OHS standards
  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and cash handling.
  • This role includes cooking for visitors to the Bar & Bistro and helping to cater for school groups staying at BIG4 Noosa North Shore Retreat.

Your days will include:

  • Cooking and food prep
  • Keeping kitchen and service areas spotless
  • Managing food safety and storage
  • Customer facing duties such as taking orders and running food
  • Handling daily cleaning and waste removal
  • Liaising with suppliers and updating menus
  • Ensure customer needs are exceeded
  • Ensure all food handling safety and OHS procedures are adhered to at all times.
