The Opportunity

As a Café Attendant, you will assist in the daily operations of our hospital cafe. This will involve preparation and selling of coffee, tea and other beverages along with basic food preparation in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner.

To uphold our high-quality standards, this role involves ensuring cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations, infection control protocols, and hospital requirements.

Your duties will also include:

  • Coffee Making, Sandwich prep, re-stocking Fridges, Transporting stock from the main kitchen
  • Cleaning and sanitising workstations and food court areas;
  • Providing fast, friendly and exceptional customer service;
  • Display a strong level of team commitment whilst also having the ability to work autonomously where required.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring experience in a similar position and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment. Strong task prioritisation and excellent time management skills will be key to your success.

You will also bring:

  • Completion of a TAFE plus statement Barista course or equivalent from a recognised institute with experience working as a Barista
  • Experience in food and beverage preparation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts on a rotating roster
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience in the health care industry (Desired)

Requirements

  • Must provide aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
