Responsibilities
  • As a Café Attendant, you will assist in the daily operations of the hospital cafe, including preparation and selling of coffee, tea and other beverages along with basic food preparation in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Ensure cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations, infection control protocols, and hospital requirements.
  • Coffee making, sandwich preparation, restocking fridges, transporting stock from the main kitchen.
  • Cleaning and sanitising workstations and customer areas;
  • Provide fast, friendly and exceptional customer service;
  • Display a strong level of team commitment while also having the ability to work autonomously where required.
Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring experience in a similar position and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment. Strong task prioritisation and excellent time management skills will be key to your success.

  • Completion of a TAFE plus statement Barista course or equivalent from a recognised institute with experience working as a Barista
  • Experience in food and beverage preparation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts on a rotating roster
  • Experience in the health care industry (Desired)
