As an Assistant Category Manager in the Premix & Spirits team, you will partner with the broader category team and contribute to the execution of the category strategy, with a key focus on maximising the portfolio's commercial performance through a strong trade and customer plan.
Work closely with a number of key internal and external stakeholders across the industry, from our store teams to our global supply partners. No one day is the same
You'll build and manage supplier relationships end to end and will use your strong knowledge of the category and understanding of competitors, brands, consumer & shopper trends to create customer-centric promotional strategies to drive sustainable growth.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Drive commercial performance by executing strategic category initiatives and effective promotional strategies.
- Develop and manage end-to-end promotional plans, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to deliver promotions that align with strategic category objectives.
- Support store teams to ensure world-class promotional execution, addressing any issues and resolving queries promptly.
- Negotiate commercials with suppliers, including promotional and marketing funding.
- Leverage data and insights to review performance regularly with internal and external stakeholders
- Plan and brief major category campaigns, including key supplier-funded activities.
- Apply analytical and customer insight skills to guide decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Now let's talk about you:
- You'll have existing experience in Buying, (3 + Years) as an Assistant Category Manager or similar.
- Proven experience in planning a strong, customer focused, promotional program to maximise the commercial performance.
- A track record in using customer insights and data to make strategic and commercial business decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen, including numerical and analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to negotiate and influence both internal & external stakeholders.
- Passion for and demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across all levels.
- Ability to work cross-functionality, under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-centric attitude and a passion for the liquor industry.
