Our client in the manufacturing space is seeking a HR Generalist - South Asia Pacific to be based at their Melbourne office. In this role you will serve as a trusted advisior and partner to employees and managers, supporting a wide range of human resources functions. This role combines HR advisory expertise with strong interpersonal and analytical skills to foster a positive and productive work environment. The HR Generalist will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure HR practices align with business goals, legal requirements and company values.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Advisory

  • Provide practive Provided proactive HR and employee relations support, advising on policy, performance, conflict resolution, and employment law to enhance engagement and compliance.

Policy & Compliance

  • Managed HR policies, contracts, and compliance to ensure alignment with legislation and company standards.

Benefits Management

  • Analyse and optimise benefits programs in partnership with brokers, guiding implementation of pensions, health, insurance, and wellbeing initiatives while aligning strategy with stakeholders to mitigate risk.

Projects & Initiatives

  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to enhance workplace culture and support international HR initiatives.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • Up to 7 years operational HR experience, perferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ANZ labour law and legislation. Overseas labour law experience is also preferrable.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong planning and organisational habits.
  • Ability to travel occasionally with APAC and globally.
