The Opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on Applications Engineer to join our OE & Customer Solutions team. Working closely with OEM customers across automotive, trailer, marine and public safety sectors, you'll support both the technical sales process and product development lifecycle—from concept and CAD, to prototyping, testing and implementation.

You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, product, and supply teams, playing a key role in turning customer needs into practical, manufacturable solutions that reflect our quality and innovation standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in the design, review and modification of product and wiring designs
  • Create and manage 3D CAD models, drawings and documentation
  • Support new product development and custom solution design
  • Contribute to prototype evaluation, testing and design-for-manufacture (DFM)
  • Liaise with OE customers and suppliers to support engineering queries
  • Provide technical input to the field sales team and prepare customer-facing materials
  • Help compile PPAP documentation and manage technical files
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within the OE team
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in automotive, truck or trailer electrical systems
  • Wiring harness design experience is essential
  • Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design tools
  • Understanding of DFM principles and production environments
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills
  • OEM, project coordination or technical sales experience is a plus
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering or Trade with equivalent experience)
