Our client is an energy fund investing in nascent climate change corporates with the purpose of supporting the global transition to net zero emissions by accelerating the pace of pre-commercial innovation. Over more than 10 years it has supported more than 100+ projects in Australia and deployed more than $2bn.

We are hiring multiple Analyst positions across multiple teams within this organisation.

The focus areas include (but are not limited to) carbon neutral fuels, carbon neutral or low emission metal production, renewable hydrogen, various forms of energy storage, distributed energy (smart grids)/community batteries, repurposing transport fleets.

  • Producing analysis, corresponding due diligence, risk assessment and investment committee papers for potential projects and corporates that align with the focus areas of the fund.
  • Comprehensive commercial analysis of market potential of Projects or investments.
  • Preparation of internal, and due diligence and reviewing of external, project financial models, with particular focusing on the corporate assumptions and capital structure.
  • Validating key technical assumptions via external due diligence.
  • Assisting the negotiating of key funding terms.

To be successful, you will have 2-4 years' experience, preferably in Corporate Finance/M&A, Infrastructure Advisory, Transaction Services, Deals Modelling/Valuations. You will have had experience with infrastructure, renewables or potentially mining.
