
Supervisor/Estimator

Our client based in the Southcoast Victoria are seeking to appoint a Supervisor/Estimator on a permanent basis. The successful candidate is responsible for managing daily construction activities on-site and supporting project delivery through office-based coordination and client communication. Working across commercial sites such as childcare builds, and church extensions, the role ensures that builds, renovations, and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
The Supervisor acts as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams—balancing site oversight with professional client service and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Onsite supervision including scheduling, site setup, safety compliance, and coordination of trades.
- Office-based support to calculate cost, analysis plans, specifications and project requirements to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
- Ensuring timely tender preparations and quotation submissions.
- Monitor progress to ensure work is completed to scope, on schedule, and to company and client standards.
- Office-based support to assist the Operations and Project Managers with project planning, timelines, procurement coordination, reporting and update safety reports.
- Attend initial meetings and site assessments to engage directly with clients, homeowners, and insurance representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
- Project coordination to Assist in planning and sequencing of construction works, support cost control by identifying and reporting potential scope changes, and help prepare for handovers, inspections, and finalization of works.
- Engaging and building key relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders in meetings and stie assessments to gather project requirements or review scopes of work.
Key Qualifications and skills:
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (or equivalent).
- Experience in commercial projects.
- Current Drivers License.
- General understanding to be an OHS Labourer.
- Valid White Card.
- Attention to detail.
- Be able to work autonomously.
- Be able to follow instructions and implement changes.
- Ability to manage numerous tasks at one time.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience in handling homeowner relations with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in negotiating, problem-solving, and facilitating collaboration among project stakeholders.
