About the role

C.J.L CIVIL is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Construction Engineer to join our dynamic team in Geelong, Victoria. As a fulltime role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of our diverse range of civil construction projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of civil construction projects to the highest quality standards
  2. Assisting with estimating and pricing, including reviewing plans, quantities, and subcontractor quotes
  3. Providing technical expertise and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective project management and timely completion
  4. Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving issues to mitigate risks
  5. Liaising with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and achieve client satisfaction
  6. Preparing detailed reports, plans and documentation to support project delivery
  7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
  2. Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar civil construction engineering role including water/sewer infrastructure and road/highway projects
  3. Project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  4. Strong technical skills and understanding of civil construction methodologies and standards
  5. Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve results
  6. Strong communicator who can work well with clients, supervisors and the team
  7. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
  8. Hardworking, dependable and proactive. Willing to take responsibility without overstepping
