About the role

Optimum wall and floor tiling is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team in Tumbi Umbi, NSW. Servicing Central coast, Newcastle, and Sydney as an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop the skills needed to thrive in this dynamic building trade. This is a full-time position with excellent opportunities for growth and career development.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting experienced tilers in the installation of tiles on walls and floors
  • Preparing and levelling surfaces for tiling
  • Cutting and shaping tiles as needed
  • Mixing and applying adhesives and grout
  • Ensuring a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities

What we're looking for

  • A keen interest in the building trades and a willingness to learn
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety
  • A driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required.
