Cleaner and Laundry Employee

In this rewarding role you will work in a team environment where every day will be different.  With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment.

We are looking to hire a part time  employee for 45.5 hrs per fornight who has previous experience in cleaning & laundry This role is based at Bateau Bay. Please note: Monday shift is just laundry.

The shifts follow as per below.

Week 1  - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 am -2:30pm

Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 am -2:30pm.

As a Support Service Employee your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Assist with full range of domestic duties
• Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitise all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
• Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors
• Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals
• Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary
• Wet dust all picture frames and wall ornaments
• Wet wipe and sanitise all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
• Wipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance.
• Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Genuine compassion, commitment and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Empathy towards the elderly and respectful of their needs.
• Able to provide evidence of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
