The Telecommunications Group Pty Ltd provides turn key solutions for the telecommunications industry Australia wide.

We are currently expanding with new clients and we are looking for any experienced and committed Technical officers/Technologists to join our team.

The role you will responsible for:

  • PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, birdproofing and waterproofing connectors.
  • Swapping out and decommissioning mobile telecommunication sites.
  • Upgrading existing mobile telecommunications sites
  • Installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, including commissioning and integration of DC power systems, base band equipment, alarm monitoring equipment and radio systems.
  • Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures
  • General work within the limits of your competency and qualifications
  • Working at heights
  • Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications
  • Completing all tasks to a high quality standard in compliance with Customer procedures
  • Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed by all team members safely and in accordance with customer safety procedures
  • Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are observed and followed
  • Providing technical advice pre-installation
  • Assessing installation requirements and carrying out the necessary design and planning
  • Liaising with various suppliers and vendors about the required resources for the project and monitoring contractual obligations

Skills and experience required:

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma OR
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Ericsson and Nokia equipment
  • Experience with Anritsu Site Master
  • Experience with earthing requirements
  • Ability to pass a 'Fit to climb' medical certificate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practice
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Tower rescue Certificate
  • Working at Heights
