About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible working arrangements, including working from home, while still operating in a professional and supportive environment.

You will work closely with experienced supervisors and partners and be involved in providing a range of accounting and taxation services to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients to provide accounting, tax and business advisory support
  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
  • Assist clients with business activity statements (BAS), fringe benefits tax (FBT), and payroll tax obligations
  • Communicate with external stakeholders including the ATO, ASIC, government agencies and other professionals
  • Support client queries on day-to-day accounting matters and cloud accounting software (Xero, MYOB, etc.)
  • Assist in preparing management reports and financial analysis when required
  • Supervise or mentor junior staff if applicable

Eligibility Requirements

  • A degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Business (Accounting or Finance major preferred)
  • Working towards or already enrolled in CA/CPA program
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using MYOB, Xero, and Reckon APS (preferred)
  • Experience working in public practice accounting firms (preferred)
  • Must hold a valid visa with full work rights in Australia
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred but not essential
