Key Responsibilities

Financial

• Self-monitoring performance against client service hour budget.
• Assisting in client billing and budgeting process.

Technical

• Completion of tasks as set by supervisors in the corporate accounting and tax team.
• Delivery of work to a high standard and within specified deadlines, and management of competing deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Timely identification of potential issues and risks.
• Ability to utilise office systems and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
• Produces accurate work papers supported by appropriate reconciliations.
• Completion of relevant professional development requirements.

Personal

• Performing as an effective member of a team, developing good working relationships with team members, and keep senior staff informed of progress on jobs.
• Ability to manage time effectively, showing an ability to plan and prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
• Maintaining high professional standards of behaviour at all times, demonstrated by "grace under pressure", enthusiasm, flexibility and resourcefulness.
• Maintaining a professional and organised workspace.

Client relationship

• Developing an understanding of commercial issues facing client business.
• Maintaining clear, professional and respectful communications with clients.

What you need to succeed

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting firm.
• Commencement of or intention to commence the CA program.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• High mathematical and numerical aptitude.
• Eye for attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactiveness and ability to use initiative throughout your work.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment, whilst striving for success.
