What's the job?
The Future Student Advisor is responsible for assessing applicants against published entry criteria and guiding them through the enrolment process. With a limited scope of delegated authority from the academic team, they review applications, verify eligibility, and offer admission where appropriate.
Here, you will ensure prospective students understand their chosen course and the necessary steps for enrolment. Working as part of a broader team, Future Student Advisors contribute to organisational enrolment targets while upholding the values of the University, providing clear and professional guidance, ensuring a smooth admission process and maintaining compliance with institutional policies.
This is a permanent full-time position located at our Surry Hills campus in Sydney. It offers hybrid flexibility with 3 days on campus and 2 days working from home.
Principal Accountabilities (not limited to):
- Manage the end-to-end student journey from initial enquiry and application through to enrolment and commencement in subjects, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- Always ensure exceptional customer service for both internal and external clients and customers
- Ensure selection criteria and lead management guidelines are always adhered to
- Maintain accurate and compliant data across all systems, including lead and enrolment records.
- Engage with applicants throughout the conversion process to maximise enrolments and student satisfaction.
Data Quality
- Actively gather and document all supporting documents required to create a compliant record
- Ensure lead, account and enrolment data is collected and accurate at all times
Application Management
- Actively engage applicants through conversion process
- Participate in team meetings, Open Days & Information Sessions when required by Manager, Student Recruitment

Who you are:
- Experience in admissions, customer service or sales, with the ability to balance relationship building and administrative accuracy.
- Experience in Higher Education (desirable) and/or VET admissions an advantage.
- Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and meet targets.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and CRM (e.g. Salesforce).
- Comfortable working with compliance requirements and data accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable in a high-volume phone-based environment, with strong verbal communication skills and the resilience to manage multiple conversations each day.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, follow direction, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
