Your New Role And Responsibilities
The Air Component Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS) is a mission-critical suite of software applications that enables the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to effectively plan, prepare, execute, manage, and report on aviation operations.
The Test Engineer will support our customers technology, where an overview of responsibilities includes:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate system functionality, performance, and security for mission-critical Defence applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test cases across unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing phases.
- Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and Defence stakeholders to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with Defence standards and security requirements.
- Conduct performance, stress, and interoperability testing to ensure system reliability under operational conditions.
- Document test results, defects, and risk assessments, providing clear reporting and recommendations to support continuous improvement and certification processes.
What You'll Bring To Make An Impact
- Proven experience in software testing (manual and automated) within complex, mission-critical or Defence-related systems.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, Robot Framework, or similar.
- Experience with performance, security, and interoperability testing in high-availability environments.
- Understanding of Defence or aviation standards and security requirements, including compliance with classified environments.
Don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application. We're most interested in your strengths, what you want to learn and how far you want to go.

- We are committed to making our recruitment process accessible to all candidates. Please get in touch with our Careers team if you'd like to discuss any additional support during your application or throughout the recruitment process.
At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now."
If you're already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You'll fit right in.
