Our client has a requirement to fill the role of 
Data Engineer.

Key duties and responsibilities

The role of Data Engineer will be responsible for understanding, checking and scoping adjustments for domain-level data products e.g. Emergency Department and Mental Health, to streamline and automate National submissions and operational reports. Engagement and coordination between the Product Owners and Development team is a large component of this role. You will work closely with and as part of a project team comprising a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Data Modelling Lead, other Data Engineers and a Working Group that includes Data Governance, to ensure the efficient and effective use of data across the organisation.

Outcomes
: to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of data products including data product design documentation.

Key responsibilities:

·       Under the direction of the Data Modelling Lead, contribute to the detailed design / modifications of priority Data Products.

·       Collaborate with product owners and engineers to understand requirements and edge cases for testing.

·       Validate business logic and data transformations against specifications.

·       Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.

·       Work closely with developers to ensure timely fixes and retesting.

·       Maintain clear documentation of test cases, test results, and QA processes.

·       Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and MS Fabric.
