About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trade Spend Claims Coordinator to join our Finance team for 6 month max term contract with the potential for ongoing.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate and compliant processing of customer trade spend claims, supporting financial integrity and strong commercial relationships. The role involves claim validation, financial reconciliation, compliance maintenance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and process improvement within a fast-paced FMCG environment.How You Will Contribute / About the RoleClaims Processing and Validation: manage complex rebate claims, verify claims against contracts, investigating discrepancies, and ensure timely processing to prevent financial disruption.Financial Reconciliation: reconcile claims with financial records, collaborating with the Accounts Receivable team to manage outstanding deductions, and maintain claim registers for visibility.Compliance and Controls: ensure all claims adhere to company policies, audit standards, while maintaining accurate documentation.Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with Sales, Finance teams, and customers to resolve issues, clarify claims, and obtain necessary approvals.Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate claim records, support debtors' facility funding, provide closure reports, and send approval reminders to sales teams.Process Improvement: Update procedural documentation, drive process enhancements, improve claim automation success rates (target>  90% match rate), and participate in system upgrades.KPI's: Monitor adherence to personal and Trade Spend Claims team KPIs (e.g. DDO, claims ageing).About YouExperience within a commercial trade spend environment with both large corporate customers and smaller accounts;Understanding of different trade spends claim types and accounting principles in FMCG or retail industry essential;Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, crucial for reviewing transaction data, financial records and documents;Proficiency in Excel and Trade Spend Management Systems (e.g. Blueshift);Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication style to suit different internal stakeholders;Strong problem-solving skills;Strong time management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritise work;Diploma / Certificate in Finance or related field is preferred but not essential.BenefitsExposure to a successful & innovative global FMCG business with a portfolio of iconic and well-known brands.Ample free parking.Great weekly discount on our iconic ice-creams at our on-site staff shop and subsidised staff canteen.Hybrid working arrangements with work from home 2 days weekVersatile & challenging projects within a dynamic teamVaried career experiences and personalised development support.Who We ArePeters Ice Cream is Australia's number one ice cream manufacturer, with over 110 years of heritage. At Peters, our purpose is to help everyone treat life joyfully, now and for years to come.We are proud of our portfolio of iconic brands, such as Drumstick, Maxibon, Connoisseur and Frosty Fruits. Join a company whose core values are We Take Ownership, We Seek to Improve, We Do What is Right, and We are Better Together.Have a look at our website, , to learn more about us.How To ApplyApply by sending your resume and a cover letter explaining why you would like to join our team.
