Business Analyst

We're seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong accounting background to join our Financials Product team at TechnologyOne. In this role, you'll use your experience in finance and business analysis to bridge the gap between accountants and developers, ensuring our Financials product delivers innovative, compliant, and practical solutions that meet the real-world needs of finance teams.

What you'll do…

• Work with Product Owners, Developers, and Customers to capture, document, and validate requirements for financial processes.
• Use your accounting knowledge to design and test features across areas such as general ledger, AP/AR, asset management, and reporting.
• Participate in workshops and acceptance testing to ensure new functionality meets both compliance and customer needs.
• Support rollout and adoption by creating content and presenting new features to stakeholders.

What you bring…

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience as an accountant or finance professional.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial operations, and compliance.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems (TechnologyOne preferred).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage finance and technical stakeholders alike.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, gathering and documenting requirements across finance functions.
• Ability to translate complex accounting processes into functional system specifications.
• Experience conducting workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Knowledge of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes within a corporate finance environment.
• Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements in a financial context.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver solutions that balance business needs and system capabilities.
