HD Pumps is seeking a skilled and proactive Business Administration Officer to join our Winnellie team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solid administration experience who thrives on keeping operations running smoothly and enjoys being the go-to person for getting things organised.

In this role, you'll be a key part of our day-to-day business operations — supporting customers, liaising with internal teams, and ensuring that our systems and processes are working at their best. Using tools like MYOB Acumatica, you'll help streamline workflows, maintain accurate records, and support the commercial side of our operations.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly, enjoys learning how complex systems work, and wants to make a visible impact across a growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day work will touch on a wide range of business functions, including:

  • Administration using our ERP system (Acumatica) – processing orders, receipting stock, quoting, invoicing, and managing product data
  • Some exposure to ERP or business systems would be helpful for managing complex administrative processes effectively
  • Customer service – handling phone and email enquiries professionally and clearly
  • Minimum of 1+ years customer service experience is required to handle professional enquiries effectively
  • Warehouse administration – supporting goods receival, stock movement, and basic coordination with our operations team
  • Warranty processing – lodging, tracking and communicating the status of warranty claims with suppliers and customers
  • Counter sales – assisting with walk-in customers and providing product support for pumps and related equipment
  • Occasional lifting – items up to 15kg during stock handling or warehousing support

What We're Looking For

  • A natural systems thinker – someone who's comfortable navigating software tools and enjoys structured problem-solving
  • Great with details – you take pride in accuracy and consistency
  • Reliable communicator – clear, professional, and responsive with both customers and colleagues
  • Eager to learn – especially about our products, systems, and industry
  • Strong general computer skills – particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Intermediate proficiency required in Excel, Outlook, and Word for effective business administration
  • Year 12 completion or equivalent qualification

Bonus if you have:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica, MYOB, etc.)
  • Experience in the water industry (pumps, irrigation, pool filtration, plumbing supplies, etc.)

Other Essentials

  • Ability to lift up to 15kg occasionally
  • Ability to pass a police check
  • Current NT driver's licence
  • Australian work rights required
