How you'll make an impact:

As a Senior Account Executive at Xero, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the way large and mid-tier Accounting Partners embrace the digital future. Your role goes beyond account management — you'll be a trusted advisor, helping partners design and deliver powerful digital strategies that drive growth, unlock efficiencies, and set them up for long-term success with our suite of tools.

This is a field-based role where you'll thrive on building meaningful relationships, shaping strategic conversations, and bringing the Xero vision to life across your territory. You'll lead with influence, energy, and insight — creating opportunities, driving adoption, and ensuring our partners and their clients experience the full value of the Xero platform. In this role collaboration is key: you'll work hand-in-hand with your Senior Account Executive peers to share best practice, sharpen strategies, and collectively contribute to Xero's continued success.

What you'll do:
  • Manage the sales and account management relationships with large and mid-tier accounting partners
  • Drive customer numbers up and achieve monthly targets
  • Drive online strategy deep within the practice
  • Develop ​project plans to support migration to Xero
  • Deliver Xero partner events and drive attendance at Xero sales events and Partner Forums
  • Ensure Partners and other employees within the Practice attend introductory webinars, events & certification training
  • Ensure that a formal Partner engagement plan is developed for each partner
  • Manage the recruitment, education and growth of your partner base
  • Educate Partners on all partner resources available
  • Monitor all existing Partners as they progress through the sales cycle
  • Update our CRM system (Salesforce) with all client communications including calls, emails and meetings
  • Maintain and update our CRM system of all practice staff and contact details
  • Respond in a timely manner to all Partner enquiries
  • Engage in a call cycle (a minimum of every 8 weeks) with all allocated partners
  • Work closely with Partner Services to deliver the business plan
What you'll bring with you:
  • Field Account Manager experience
  • Proven sales performance and direct experience working within sales cycles
  • Experience and knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice
  • An interest and intrigue in the emerging online accounting market and Fintech
  • A results driven approach with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Loads of initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills and an enthusiasm for building strong relationships
  • Ability to create a quick and strong rapport with partners
