About the role

Aspire OSHC is seeking an experienced and passionate Service Manager to oversee the operations of our busy and vibrant before and after school care centre in Port Kembla. This full-time role is critical in ensuring the smooth running of our service and providing high-quality care and educational experiences for the children in our community.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service, including staff supervision, program planning, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Lead a team of dedicated educators and coordinate their schedules, professional development, and performance management
  • Foster positive relationships with families, the school, and the local community to support the needs of the children
  • Manage the service's budget, resources, and administrative tasks to maintain financial viability and operational efficiency
  • Continuously review and improve the service's policies, procedures, and educational programs to deliver best-practice care

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Service Manager or Nominated Supervisor role in the childcare or outside school hours care sector
  • WWC, HLTAID012 First Aid, HLTAID009 CPR, CHCRPT025 Child Protection, NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing and development of children
  • Preferred, have or working towards: Diploma in Early Childhood
