The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for an Operations Process Coordinator at our Springhill facility. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Metal Coating Lines. You'll proactively manage safety for yourself and others through audits, investigations and reporting, while overseeing the standardised implementation of shutdown plans for lines and cranes. A strong focus will be on coordinating day work operations, waste management, and developing systems to manage critical supplies such as coating metals, resins and chemicals. You'll also support the delivery of key capital projects, including equipment upgrades and process improvements, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
What Will You Do?
With a keen interest to grow and develop yourself, you'll actively participate and support the Operations of the three Metal Coating lines at Springhill. You will also:
- proactively manage safety through audits, investigations, reporting and coaching
- manage the return-to-work coordination of team members
- oversee the implementation of detailed operational shutdown plans for lines and cranes
- coordinate day work operations and manage waste processes across the Metal Coating Lines
- develop and maintain systems to manage common operational supplies (e.g. coating metals, strapping, stainless supplies, resins, passivants, chemicals)
- contribute to the delivery of critical capital projects, including equipment upgrades and process improvements
- partner with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure operational standards and efficiency are maintained
