Technical Product Manager

Instant is a product-driven company on a mission to power the world's most innovative brands - driving their revenue and retention on autopilot. We're building the first AI-powered marketing manager for ecommerce. Currently in an exciting hyper-growth phase, expanding the business by over $1M in new revenue every month, with 4 products in market, entering and hiring in new global regions, having raised $30M+ from top VCs.
Instant is seeking a Technical Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of both our core platform infrastructure and our unified dashboard experience across all products. This is a highly technical role that uniquely combines deep technical ownership with high-impact product execution, touching every part of the business.
The Role:
You'll ensure that our platform is scalable, reliable, and performant as we continue to grow at pace — while also owning the dashboard that thousands of merchants rely on to understand their revenue, performance, and product value. Because the dashboard spans Instant AI, Instant Audiences, and any future products, you'll have broad impact across the entire Instant ecosystem.
This is not a "requirements hand-off" role. You'll partner closely with engineering, dive deep into systems and APIs, work through complex infrastructure challenges, and translate them into a roadmap that ensures technical excellence and an exceptional merchant experience. If you're a technical product leader who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and wants true end-to-end ownership — you'll love this role.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will:
- Lead technical product development for our platform, covering infrastructure scaling, performance optimisation, data reliability, and system resilience.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to scope, prioritise, and execute on complex infrastructure initiatives (e.g., data reliability and improving observability).
- Ensure technical readiness for growth: our systems, services, and architecture can support rapid increases in usage, new geographies, and enterprise-level demands.
- Own the overarching dashboard experience that spans all Instant products — ensuring every merchant can clearly understand their performance, revenue, and product value.
- Listen deeply to customer feedback around dashboard reporting, and translate those needs into clear, intuitive, and impactful outcomes.
- Operate within a small, fast-moving squad (engineers + designer), setting a high bar for quality while balancing innovation with the demands of enterprise-grade stability.
About you:
- Instant speed is next level You'll be expected to execute quickly, produce quality work fast, communicate effectively and iterate/pivot as necessary.
- You have a strong technical background (e.g. software engineering, DevOps, systems, or data) and have successfully worn both technical and product hats.
- You have hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern infrastructure practices (CI/CD, observability, security).
- You have experience working directly with engineers — you can read technical designs, ask the right questions, and make informed tradeoffs.
- You're a self thinker with a strategic mindset, understanding areas of opportunity.
- You execute flawlessly (directly & via others) and take your projects across the finish line.
- You can manage projects end-to-end with a practical, results-driven approach
Instant, more than just a job.
