About the Position

This position oversees end-to-end project delivery, including planning, managing dependencies, budgets, and variations. The Project Manager ensures strict adherence to scope, schedule, and quality while maintaining clear communication with builders, subcontractors, and clients. Success relies on driving outcomes in high-pressure environments and building strong relationships with builders, consultants, and enterprise stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Delivery

· Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and milestones.

· Identify and track dependencies across construction and integration phases.

· Ensure project outcomes meet agreed scope, budget, and timeframes.

· Manage variations promptly with clear pricing, approvals, and documentation.

Team Leadership and Motivation

· Lead and motivate teams of 10–20 installers, supported by Contract Administrator, site coordinators, Install leads, installers, and engineers.

· Set clear expectations, allocate resources effectively, and monitor productivity.

· Drive accountability, performance, and a culture of ownership across the team.

Stakeholder and Builder Management

· Act as the primary contact for builders, consultants, and client representatives.

· Build trusted relationships with enterprise clients and C-Suite stakeholders.

· Ensure timely communication of project progress, risks, and issues.

· Represent the company professionally in all builder and client interactions.

Budget and Financial Management

· Create, track, and manage project budgets and forecasts.

· Control cost-to-complete reporting and manage cash flow.

· Ensure all variations are submitted, priced, and approved in line with project requirements.

Risk and Quality Management

· Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.

· Maintain compliance with workplace safety standards on all sites.

· Conduct regular inspections to confirm installation quality and design compliance.

· Oversee commissioning, testing, and client handover.

Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, change requests, drawings, and progress reports.

· Provide weekly updates for internal leadership and clients.

· Accurate WIP and CTC reports.

· Archive records for compliance and knowledge sharing.

About you

We are looking for a charismatic individual capable of managing and driving outcomes required using skills in people and project management. Someone capable of building respect amongst peers and subordinate to ensure cooperation and team work.

Required Qualifications and Experience

· Proven experience managing large-scale electronic security projects in construction environments.

· Background in Data Centre projects strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated success leading large teams of installers (10–20).

· Strong ability to manage variations, dependencies, and complex construction interfaces.

· Certification in security, electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).

· Proficiency with project management software including Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.

· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience engaging with builders, consultants, subcontractors, and enterprise clients.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

· Proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

· Experience managing projects in Construction environment.

· Proficient in project management tools and software.

· Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.

· Experience in the electronic security or similarly related electronic or IT industry is preferred.

· Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Genetec

· Familiarity with SimPro or similar project/job management platforms.

· Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to apply a hybrid approach.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
