Job description:

The role This is a new position for the Symal Group and a role where you can take ownership of as we continue to grow. The PMO Analyst will be responsible for providing structure, visibility and accountability across all IT projects. This role will centralise project information into a single portfolio view, maintain accuracy of project data in the chosen project management platform and support IT members in updating status reports, tasks and milestones. By doing so, the analyst ensures projects remain on track, stakeholders are well informed and delivery risks are minimised. Your everyday This is a diverse role where your everyday is different and priorities can change. This position will report to the CIO and have a close working relationship with the overall IT team. The position is broken down into 4 main areas, however your responsibilities will not be limited to these. Project Portfolio Management:

  • Maintain a single, centralised view of all the IT projects
  • Standardise the project reporting across the IT function
  • Track dependancies, risks and overall portfolio health
  • Support prioritisation conversations by providing accurate portfolio data.

Project Administration Tracking:

  • Ensure Project registers, tasks and milestones are up to date in the chosen tool
  • Monitor progress against timelines and escalate delays promptly
  • Provide structure for governance meetings (agendas, action lists, follow-ups).

Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare weekly/monthly project and portfolio reports
  • Summarise risks, issues and progress for the CIO and leadership team
  • Facilitate communication across IT teams and stakeholders.

Support to Project Teams:

  • Assist the IT team with scheduling, task allocation and documention
  • Record meeting outcomes, assign ownership and follow up on completion
  • Provide administrative relief so that technical team can focus on delivery.

We are looking for this person to have:

  • Solid experience with project management tools and reporting platforms
  • The solid experience as a PMO Analyst looking over quite a number of projects at the one time that are at different stages of their lifecycle
  • The ability to engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working in IT or technology driven environments
  • Being detail oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure along with being a proactive problem solver.
