About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled
IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer
to join our dynamic team. This role requires extensive experience across
Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
, combined
with a working knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
. You will also bring solid expertise in
Hypervisors such as VMware
, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

In this role, you will participate in an on-call rotation and work closely with senior engineers, cloud architects, and IT operations teams to help ensure performance, security, and operational efficiency across a range of platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure or cloud engineer with a strong technical foundation in virtualization, cloud services, and automation to grow within a forward thinking and innovative organization enriching health across NSW in millions of ways every day.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and maintain Windows, Unix, and Linux
  systems, including installation, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee OS lifecycle and compliance
  , leveraging tools like SCCM, Intune, and RStudio for system management.
• Administer and troubleshoot
  VMware and similar hypervisor platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain
  hybrid infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
• Drive
  automation and incident resolution to ensure high availability and operational efficiency using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Hands-on expertise in
  Windows, Unix, and Linux
  systems administration, including upgrades and patch management.
• Proficient with
  SCCM, Intune, and RStudio
  for effective system patching and management.
• Strong knowledge of
  AWS
  and
  Azure
  cloud services with experience in hybrid cloud integration.
• Solid experience managing hypervisors, primarily
  VMware
  , with familiarity in other platforms.
• Excellent
  troubleshooting
  and
  problem-solving
  skills across complex, multi-platform infrastructures.
