Sydney-based Managed Service Provider
is looking for an experienced
IT Infrastructure Engineer
to lead technical operations, deliver cloud and infrastructure projects, and act as the senior escalation point for the service desk team.

This is a hands-on technical role ideal for an engineer who enjoys mentoring others, managing diverse client environments, and working across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and networking solutions.

Salary:
$90K–$100K + Super

Location:
Sydney CBD | Full-time | Onsite / Hybrid flexibility

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As an
IT Infrastructure Engineer
, you'll oversee day-to-day service delivery while managing projects across cloud, infrastructure, and security environments. You'll act as a technical mentor for Level 2 engineers and collaborate with senior peers to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and mentoring Level 2 and junior engineers, serving as a senior escalation point for complex issues
• Managing infrastructure and cloud projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and networking environments
• Owning service desk performance, triaging escalations, and ensuring SLAs and client satisfaction targets are achieved
• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients — providing recommendations, technical insights, and system improvements
• Monitoring and maintaining client infrastructure, including servers, VMs, and network hardware
• Strengthening backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures
• Overseeing cloud and hybrid environments — patching, security policy enforcement, and documentation

TECH YOU'LL BE ACROSS:

• Microsoft 365:
  Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra
• Microsoft Azure:
  VMs, AD, Conditional Access, Backups
• Intune:
  Device management, compliance policies
• Windows Server:
  DNS/DHCP, GPOs, Active Directory
• Networking:
  Switches, routers, wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
• Backup & DR:
  Veeam, StorageCraft, Datto

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…

• Proven experience in a
  Managed Service Provider environment
• Strong knowledge across
  Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Windows Server
• Experience supporting multiple client environments and balancing competing priorities
• Hands-on expertise in cloud, server, and networking infrastructure
• Excellent communication and leadership skills — able to guide and support Level 2 engineers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)

IT'S NICE TO HAVE…

• Previous experience leading small infrastructure or migration projects
• Exposure to client onboarding and environment documentation
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator, Azure Administrator, or ITIL
