Occupational Therapist Position at Kind & Collaborative Empowerment

Kind & Collaborative Empowerment is a mental health support service dedicated to empowering individuals' independence and fulfillment. We offer a range of services, including psychology and occupational therapy, therapy assistants, and positive behavior support (PBS). Most importantly, KC Empowerment specialises in neurodiversity & offering neuroaffirming support to all of our clients.

Position: Occupational Therapist (Contractor or Casual)

Location: Northern Gold Coast, Logan, or Brisbane

Start Date: Immediate

Hourly Rate: $80 to $110, dependent on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified occupational therapist to join our dynamic team, providing services to NDIS, private, and Medicare clients. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to choose your own hours and work from various locations, including in-clinic, mobile sessions, and work-from-home arrangements. This position is ideal for professionals seeking a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to enhance clients' independence and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
  • Provide support to individuals, tailoring approaches to their unique needs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all client interactions.

Essential Criteria:

  • Full registration as an occupational therapist AHPRA.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation (NDIS reports, FCAs).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
