About the role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Medical Receptionist to join our team at Main Street Medical in Osborne Park, WA. This part-time role will be responsible for managing the front desk and providing exceptional patient support and administrative assistance to our medical practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient patient flow
  • Handling patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical files
  • Assisting with insurance claims and billing processes
  • Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-organized and presentable at all times

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in using Best Practice
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance procedures
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently
