
Optimisation Lead

The Managing Consultant, Optimisation, will lead strategic post-deployment enhancement and transformation initiatives across the APAC region, partnering with customer to maximise the value of their Workday investment. The role is responsible for guiding strategic roadmap development, identifying optimisation opportunities, driving business development opportunities, and overseeing the successful delivery of optimisation projects. Your focus will be on deepening customer relationships, enhancing functional capability, and supporting the growth of CloudRock's optimisation practice across the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Partnering & Business Development:
Develop and maintain strategic Workday roadmaps with existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner throughout their Workday journey.
Serve as the engagement partner, ensuring consistent value delivery and identifying opportunities to expand the Workday footprint.
Lead the creation of proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) for roadmap and optimisation engagements.
Build strong relationships across the Workday partner ecosystem, collaborating closely with Workday counterparts to align on joint customer solutions.
Represent CloudRock at conferences, industry events, Workday community forums, and webinars—facilitating sessions and leading presentations alongside functional consultants.
Respond to RFPs and customer inquiries as part of the pre-sales "bid team."
Contribute to the ongoing development of the APAC optimisation practice, driving initiatives to scale capability, delivery excellence, and team knowledge.
Leads customer relationships as the AMS Engagement Partner and provides strategic oversight for post-implementation support services, ensuring high-quality AMS delivery and long-term value realisation, including monthly meetings
Project Delivery and Customer Success:
Lead and facilitate Review & Recommend engagements, identifying customer pain points, guiding to-be process design workshops, and contributing to actionable recommendations.
Serve as either the functional HCM lead or Project Manager on Workday optimisation projects, depending on scope and expertise.
Provide continuous engagement oversight across active customer accounts to ensure consistent delivery quality, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain alignment with the agreed scope.
Collaborate with internal resourcing, domain, and practice leads to support project execution and ensure brilliant delivery outcomes.
Necessary Experience
5+ years' experience within the Workday ecosystem.
Strong background and understanding of Workday's HCM product suite and architecture
Proven experience in delivering process optimisation and transformation initiatives.
Background in project management, ideally within a consulting or services environment.
Desirable Experience
Workday certifications (current or previously held)
Experience leading optimisation projects across multiple domains or modules
Key Skills
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and complex customer environments.
Strong communication and presentation capabilities—articulate, confident, and customer-focused.
Highly collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
Creative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to connect ideas to action and drive practical outcomes.
Willingness to travel, as required and agreed.
