Head of Commercial

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director Revenue, Commercial and Legal, the newly established Head of Commercial will lead STC's commercial function, providing strategic advice on revenue generation, procurement, public private partnership contract management and general contract management. This role will oversee and drive commercial excellence across our projects, collaborating closely with STC's executive leadership and key external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial strategy for toll collection, revenue optimisation, contract management and stakeholder engagement.

• Provide expert commercial advice on procurement, contracts, and policy related to toll collection capability.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government and private sector partners.

• Advise executive leadership on commercial decisions, presenting strategic insights to the Board and key governance forums.

• Oversee external consultancy support to deliver commercial objectives.

About You:

You are an experienced commercial leader with deep knowledge of tolling or transport-related industries. You bring:

• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in public private partnership contracts, revenue management, tolling operations, and contract negotiation.

• Knowledge of Victorian government frameworks and financial policies.

• Leadership experience driving high-performance teams in commercial functions.

• Excellent stakeholder management across government agencies and private sector partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business Management, or related fields.

• 10 years' experience in commercial leadership, preferably in tolling or transport sectors.
